On Fridays the kids are at Mom and Ron's house after school, so that's Meghan's time to relax and have the quiet house to herself. So I try to go somewhere else to work for the day. Sometimes it's the library, sometimes it's Panera, sometimes it's McDonald's. Today I asked my friend Jeff (who sets his own work schedule since he owns his own company) if he wanted to meet in Lawrence (he lives in Topeka, so it's in between us) so we could work together. We met for lunch and then each did our own work for awhile, and then we had some time at he end of the afternoon, so we walked up and down Mass St., enjoying the weird vibe that is Lawrence. I don't get to see him often, so it was a fun chance to hang out, even if it meant doing it in the heart of Jawhawkland.
