Today I took the kids to a party of one of their NaturePlay classmates, Olivia. It was at Little Monkey Bizness. I hadn't been there before, though I think the kids had with Meghan and/or Halie. It's one of the many types of places with inflatables and other things, but this place had a few more of the "other things" than most. They have a nice climbing area, and a lot of things to play on like tire swing-like things and zip lines. The kids got to play for quite awhile before we moved to the party area for cupcakes and ice cream. It was a good thing we were able to make it, because aside from Olivia's sibling, only one other kid attended. So our family literally made up the majority of the guests.
We then did presents. They encourage the birthday kid to sit in a giant inflatable throne. Olivia didn't really want to do that, but Clara was more than happy to sit in it for her. Also, when it came time to open the presents, Olivia was a little tentative and shy, so Clara, who is neither of those things, decided she would take charge. I had to reel her in, since it was not her party. But when it was time for Olivia to open the present we got her, Clara was so excited she couldn't take it anymore and grabbed it out of the packaging to show Olivia what we got her. The kids all had a fun time.
